Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox (55-50) returned home to Fenway for the 1st time since the all-star break and lost the series opener, 5-2, to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night. The loss snapped the Red Sox 7-game home winning streak.  Boston's now 15-4 over their last 19 at Fenway. The Red Sox are now 2-7 thru their 1st 9 games after the break. Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a walk and 2 strikeouts for LA, ending his streak of 5 straight games with a Home Run.-----  Bello on the Bump: Brayan Bello allowed 3 earned runs over 5.1 innings in Friday night's series opener and ended up with the loss to drop to 6-5. Bello's streak of 8 consecutive quality starts came to an end. The Dodgers got 1 run in the 2nd and 2 more runs in the 3rd where Bello ended up throwing 40 pitches.  Bello walked 2 and struck out 5.
