The Cincinnati Reds defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-2 on Wednesday night at Great American Ball Park, avoiding a series sweep. Spencer Steer delivered the clutch moment of the game with an 11-pitch at-bat that ended in a go-ahead 2-RBI triple in the bottom of the 8th inning. Will Benson followed it up with an RBI single to give the Reds some insurance. Nick Martinez turned in a strong start, going 6 innings and allowing just 2 runs on a homer by Freddie Freeman.
