Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox (62-51) won their 5th in a row and pulled off the series sweep over the Houston Astros with Sunday's 6-1 win at Fenway Park. The Sox are a season 11 games over .500 and it's their 6th sweep of the season and 5th at home. The Sox have won 8 of 10 overall and are 12-1 over their last 13 at Fenway. Chris Murphy worked a perfect 1-2-3 9th Inning to close the door on the Astros.  -----  Going with Gio: Lucas Giolito turned in a terrific performance on the mound Sunday at Fenway. Giolito turned in his longest outing of the season going 8.0 Innings and allowed 1 run on 3 Hits. He walked 1 and fanned 4. He gave up a solo Home Run to Carlos Correa in the 4th Inning. It's Giolito's 2nd straight quality outing and 11th of the season. Giolito got 10 groundball outs & 10 fly-ball outs. He had 4 1-2-3 Innings on the day and allowed only a Single to Jose Altuve in the 6th over his final 4 Innings.  The Sox improved to 12-5 when Giolito takes the mound to start with Sunday's win.  ----- Sox at the Dish: Roman
