The Red Sox (60-51) walked off with a 2-1, 10-Inning win over the Houston Astros in the series opener at Fenway Park. The Sox have won 7 of 9 and are a season-high 9 games over .500.  Roman Anthony delivered the game-winning hit in the Bottom of the 10th Inning. It's the 9th walk-off win of the season for the Red Sox and their first win in a series opener since the all-star break.       -----  Calling on Cooper: Cooper Criswell made his first start and his 7th appearance overall in 2025 in Friday night's opener and he turned in a strong performance. Criswell gave up just 1 run (1 ER) on 7 hits in his 7.0 innings of work. Christian Walker touched him up for a 2-out, solo Home Run in the 2nd Inning. Criswell walked 2 and struck out 4. (84 Pitches-55 Strikes). He exited with the game tied at 1-1.
