Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox (68-57) were not able to pull off a series sweep over the Miami Marlins and lost, 5-3, in Sunday's series finale at Fenway Park. The Marlins hit 2 Home Runs in the Top of the 9th Inning. The first from Dane Myers tied the game at 3-3. The second from Jakob Marsee put the Marlins up by 2 runs. It's the Red Sox 2nd loss of the season (57-2) when leading after 8 Innings. -----Crochet Day: Garrett Crochet worked 7 innings of 1-run baseball against the Marlins in Sunday's finale. Crochet exited with a lead but ended up with a no-decision.  Crochet retired 7 in a row to start before allowing a solo Home Run to Eric Wagaman in the 3rd.  It was the only run allowed on the day by Crochet.  It's the 13th time this season where Crochet allowed 0 or 1 runs in an outing. He walked 1 and struck out 8.
