The Red Sox (66-56) walked off with a 2-1 win over the Miami Marlins in the series opener Friday night at Fenway Park. It's the Sox 28th comeback win of the season. The Red Sox were out hit 9-3. Trevor Story had 2 of the Hits, including the game-winner in the 9th. -----Going with Gio: Lucas Giolito, who has been terrific in recent starts at Fenway, made the start in the opener and worked into the 7th Inning. Giolito gave up 1 earned run on 7 Hits (5 Doubles) and ended up with a no-decision. Giolito gave up an RBI Double to Kyle Stowers in the 3rd Inning to get the Marlins on the board first. He exited after giving up a 1-out Single in the 7th and the game tied at 1-1. The Marlins went 1-for-10 with RISP against Giolito. He walked 1 and struck out 5. The Red Sox are now (13-6) in Giolito's 19 starts this season. ----- Sox at the Dish: The Red Sox were retired 1-2-3 in each of the first 4 Innings by Sandy Alcantara.
