Locked On Red Sox

The Red Sox (65-55) rallied late but fell short and dropped a 7-6 decision to the Houston Astros in the series opener Monday night at Daikin Park in Houston, TX. The Sox have lost 3 in a row and 4 of 5 since winning 7 in a row.  The loss snaps the Sox streak of 19 straight wins when scoring 5 or more runs. -----Crochet Day: Garrett Crochet was staked to an early 2-0 lead, but lasted just 4 Innings and took his first loss since May 26 on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers.  Crochet gave up 3 runs in the 3rd Inning. Carlos Correa got the Astros on the board with an RBI Single. Christian Walker put the Astros in front with a 2-out, 2-run Double. Jazz McCormick put Houston up 5-2 with a 2-run Home Run off Crochet in the 4th Inning. Crochet exited after throwing 86 pitches over 4 Innings of work. He gave up 5 earned runs on 7 hits.
