Tonight’s guest, Jonathan Downes, is the Director of The Center for Fortean Zoology, in Scottland. Jonathan founded The Center for Fortean Zoology 32 years ago, so this isn’t a new venture for him. When you consider all of the experience he has researching sightings and legends of unclassified creatures, how could there be a better eyewitness to come on the show to talk about a cryptid sighting he had? What Jonathan saw is called a woodwose. The term woodwose is in reference to what is believed to be a mythological being that is characterized by an untamed, wild, and hairy appearance. To some, they’re known as wild men. Others consider them to be the British equivalent to bigfoot. Nevertheless, in January of 2003, Jonathan saw a woodwose, and that experience is what Jonathan is going to be talking about on tonight’s show.
