The second season of the American black comedy superhero television series Peacemaker is based on the eponymous character from DC Comics. While the first season is a spin-off from the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film The Suicide Squad (2021), the second season is set in the DC Universe (DCU) which is a "soft reboot" of the DCEU. The season continues the story of jingoistic vigilante Chris Smith / Peacemaker, who finds an alternate dimension where his father and brother are still alive and the family together is a highly regarded superhero team. It is set after the events of the DCU film Superman (2025). It is produced by DC Studios with James Gunn as showrunner.John Cena stars as the titular character alongside Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Frank Grillo, and Robert Patrick.
