Unit 2 of the Cook nuclear power plant is now back online after a 35-day refueling outage.  The federal government has put out notice that Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits will not be distributed on November 1 as the shutdown continues, and food pantries in southwest Michigan are expecting to feel the effects.
