Enhancing Memory: Keys to Healthy Aging

Informações:

Sinopsis

A proven cognitive training program is being adapted and tested in new ways at Kessler Foundation. Led by Dr. Nancy Chiaravalloti, the study explores the Kessler Foundation modified Story Memory Technique (KF-mSMT®️), which helps adults aged 60 and older improve memory and daily functioning. Over ten bi-weekly sessions, participants learn to use visualization and contextual cues to strengthen recall—methods previously shown to benefit people with multiple sclerosis and traumatic brain injury. This five-year study examines both short- and long-term effects on thinking skills and quality of life, offering a promising path for supporting healthy cognitive aging. ===================================================================================== Kessler Foundation Investigators: Lead: Nancy D.
