Espinoza described the project, featuring Grandaddy members Jim Fairchild, Aaron Burtch, and Jason Lytle along with Earlimart members Ariana Murray, David Latter, Joel Graves, and Aaron Espinoza, as "the most in-depth project that [Grandaddy's Jason Lytle and Espinoza] have worked on together."
