The Cigar of the Week is the Ambos Mundos No.1 Robusto. The newest cigar line from Pete Johnson/Tatuaje is positioned to fit in the value end of the cigar spectrum. The line consists of 2 versions, each with a distinctly different wrapper. The No. 1 uses a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper, the No. 2 uses a Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. They both use Nicaragua long filler & binder. Currently each is available in a Robusto and a Toro size. The translation of Ambos Mundos is “both worlds”. The phrase is probably most famous for the hotel of the same name in Cuba where Ernest Hemingway did some writing. The tobaccos selected for this blend are the same as in the other Tatuaje lines, however they are not the Grade A tobaccos. These tobaccos would be graded B or perhaps C due to coloration, texture or similar reasons, yet they will deliver similar taste and performance to the grade A selections.
