When Nerds Collide

Welcome one and all to this week's episode of When Nerds Collide! This time around, your hosts Dan and Tom explore the magical world of Sid and Marty Kroft! Dan opens the show with joke that is right up Tom's alley! Then there's the usual chit-chat, including talk of the new Steve Carell's new film, Welcome to Marwen! With this week's topic, the guys switch things up and Tom takes the lead! Also on this episode, we get the quiz before the topic! Dan gives Tom a multiple choice quiz about the World of Sid and Marty Krofft! Tom brings the history of the Kroffts, including the theme songs of some of the show, some fun facts, and some general cringing and head-shaking! Some of the shows discussed include HR Pufnstuf, The Bugaloos, Liddsville, The Land of the Lost, Sigmund the Sea Monster and many more! Tom also reports on the Krofft's branching out into the prime time variety show format, including Donnie and Marie and Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters! Also Sid and Marty Krofft had their own theme park!
