As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counsellor hear Alexia Muniz Catan talk about her journey recognizing a gap in her community and creating a program for her not-for-profit in order to meet the need. Alexia attended, onsite at the family’s residence for family support. She provided care for families with intellectual disabilities as well as autistic individuals in her local counties. This then had her moving towards online private practice. Alexia and Julie both work with kids as young as 5 years old, they discuss online practice and their thoughts around what age is appropriate to work with youth online and what online practice would look like with a younger population as online therapy practice emerges.
