In 1990 the case is officially reopened, Wayne and Roland are officially reunited, and they do manage to ID a girl on the Walgreen’s security tape. And in 2015, Wayne continues to struggle with his memory, though exactly to what degree, and to what degree he’s playing it up in a backhanded re-re-investigation of the case is now open to debate, as is the relationship between his son and the TV show host.
