FOURPLAY STRING QUARTET - Everything Was Going Fine To kick us off a Sydney band that tries very hard and succeeds to defy categorisation. The Fourplay String Quartet started life in late 2006 as a classical string outfit, originally made up of friends from the Australian Youth Orchestra. They are as much a band as they are a string quartet and constantly blur the boundaries between styles and genres while maintaining their own original and true sound. They decided to record 3 separate shows at Canberra’s intimate Street Theatre, the result is the hotly anticipated album “Fourthcoming”, its available now, you can catch them at the Basement here in Sydney at the end of July / early August, this is their tune “Everything Was Going Fine”.
