This week in Mal’s World, Mal Vincent recounts how the Virginia Stage Company’s original production of “The Secret Garden” made it to Broadway and won three Tony’s in 1991. It’s a tale that involves two Simon sisters – Lucy AND Carly – and mixed reviews, including one from Mal at the world premiere in Norfolk in 1989.
