Sinopsis
The Boston Red Sox won won the first World Series Championship in 1903, beating the Pittsburgh Pirates. And the Red Sox won four more following that. But 1918 was the last World Series Championship won by the Red Sox and the beginning of "The Curse of the Bambino" when Babe Ruth was sold to the Yankees at the end of the 1919 season. The World Series drought was dramatically broken on October 27, 2004, when Boston beat the Cardinals in the 2004 Series in four straight games. This was after a dramatic pennant win coming from behind 3-0 to win over the Yankees. The Red Sox motto that year was "Why Not Us?" Indeed, the Red Sox are a reminder that moving forward each day, even if just an inch, gets us closer to the goals we want to accomplish. That we can succeed in the Boomer Male third act.
