Author Roy Lee Jarmon Bio Roy Jarmon was born in Greenville, Mississippi.  Roy is the second child of 11 children born to the late George and Minnie Bell Jarmon.  He graduated in 1968 from O’Bannon High School.  He attended Jackson State University in which he had a scholarship.  He traveled to Del Ray beach in Florida after a few years in college.  While in Florida he worked for the city working on the beach.  Roy enlisted into the Army in 1970.  He did his basic training in Fort Jackson, SC.  Roy served his country fighting in the Vietnam War in 1971.  After the Army, Roy worked various jobs while attending school at night.  Roy graduated from Mississippi Valley State Summa Cum Laude.
