BIO: Originally from Seoul, Korea, David Kim quickly learned that the standard route of attending a four-year college and climbing the corporate ladder in a cubicle wasn’t for him. He decided to cultivate his passion for the technical side of music at Musicians Institute, graduating with a certificate in audio engineering at the top of his class in 2010 and subsequently landing an internship at Chalice Recording Studios, one of the top recording studios in Los Angeles. Over the next few years, he tirelessly worked his way up from unpaid intern to head engineer. David was later presented with the opportunity to engineer full-time for Hit-Boy, an American producer, rapper, and songwriter best known for producing smash hits such as “N***as In Paris” by Jay-Z and Kanye West, “Goldie” by A$AP Rocky, “Trophies” by Drake,” and “Clique” by Kanye West, Jay-Z & Big Sean.
