Join us for our radio walk through of the Whitney Biennial, which is the longest-running exhibition in the country and was inaugurated 1932 by the Museum's founder Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney. This year is the 79th edition and includes the work of 75 artists and collectives working in painting, sculpture, installation, film and video, photography, performance, and sound. In this edition, for the first time in over a decade the curatorial team has been totally internal: Rujeko Hockley and Jane Panetta reveal statements of resistance with an emphasis on history and sort through divisive national political and social issues.
