Building From The Bottom

This week I went to BBC Radio Derby. I got this opportunity by speaking to a colleague at work who happened to know somebody who works there. Truth is I went in with no expectations, just wanting to learn what they do, get a tour and try and provide value. One of the people who works there, her husband works in podcasting too and might have a chat with me in the future. Opportunity is everywhere, you don't know where it's hiding until you look for it. Today he shared some tips with me about public speaking and sales.  - For public speaking he said - Try and get people at events where your target audience is there but your competition is not.
