Vero, Belonna, Roark, and Fergus, an unlikely adventuring party, have all come to the Forest of Blades searching for something - fortune, revenge, redemption, and sanctity. The Forest, however, has other ideas for the quartet. The party has been battered and bruised, especially Belonna and Vero who are now literally half as skilled as they once were thanks to a demonic boar with an appetite for flesh. After coming across an ancient war camp, each member has had their own vision of what lies ahead and between them and their ultimate goal. There's no turning back now. All that remains is to play out the doomed expedition to learn how the Forest captures each of its trophies.
