This week we look at the idea of "playing" God from two very different  points of view. In the first hour we talk with our friends Don and Vicki Smeraldi from Scary Monsters Magazine which is now in it's 29th year of celebrating the old school genre cinema where mad scientists, over confident military folks and crazed psychopaths tried to impose their will on either their own creations or the populace at large. Scary Monsters is once again up for many (14!) Rondo Hattan awards and we discuss their nominations as well as the upswing in popularity of genre films in the age of streaming services. Then in hour two we get into what Toxic Mike calls our "pot talk" as we discuss predetermination vs free will. Using the 2011 movie "The Adjustment Bureau" as a framework the crew digs into the question of how much control we actually have over our own lives and if it's not us controlling our fate, just who is pushing the buttons?
