Shawn Harris, owner of Lazy Park Entertainment, LLC, has a long-held passion for filmmaking. After creating several short videos for corporate holiday parties, Shawn fully committed to filmmaking after working on set for local feature film productions. She formed Lazy Park Entertainment to fulfill her creative vision, which is to fill your “lazy day” with entertaining stories birth from personal truths. Shawn went on to write, direct, and produce a family documentary short, Celebrating Freedom. It debuted to rousing applause and critical acclaim at the family’s annual reunion. She made her fiction-writing debut in 2017 with her first narrative short, Doorbell, and went on to produce and direct the film. It premiered at the 2018 Houston Black Film Festival and was sold on Vimeo until it was made public early this month.
