Born and raised in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, he has made an indelible mark on the UK’s cabaret and comedy scene with his better known comic creation; the acerbic-witted ‘self-declared Siren of South Yorkshire’ Ms Myra DuBois. Casting Gareth aside, Myra has managed to harvest critical acclaim, a few awards and following her appearance on BBC1’s The John Bishop Show, the fandom of Sir Tim Rice, who professed Myra DuBois’ rendition of Rice’s own song ‘I Know Him So Well’ to be “definitive”. At the Mystery on the Rocks bar you’ll find a retired sleuth, the bartender trying to settle his tab, and the down-on-her-luck lounge singer, solving mysteries and drinking cocktails.
