Ben is assigned to work with him on his first case which involves a series of hold-ups of cocktail lounges. It seems the suspect always does the same thing: He sits at the bar, has a couple of drinks, and plays "Poor Butterfly" over and over again on the juke box before pulling a gun and demanding money. The detectives track the suspect to an apartment building where they believe he lives. It is there that things quickly get out of hand.
