Science Shambles

The blue dot Festival takes its name from Carl Sagan's famous Pale Blue Dot speech and as part of the Weekend in Outer Space we at The Cosmic Shambles Network have teamed up with the blue dot festival for this very special event. Ann Druyan joins our own Robin Ince and Professor Brian Cox for a one time conversation. Ann Druyan is an Emmy and Peabody Award winning writer and producer. She was the Creative Director of NASA's Voyager Interstellar Message Project, better known as "The Golden Record" and co-writer of the iconic series Cosmos presented by her late husband Carl Sagan. They also co-wrote a number of books together, produced the film Contact and now Ann is the creator and co-producer of two Cosmos sequel series "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey" and "Cosmos: Possible Worlds" Obviously the entire Shambles crew would've been up at blue dot with a large number of events this year, as always, so we're delighted to be able to bring you this special event online during this very weird thing we're calling 2020
