He and his new bride, Marya, are on there way to London. When they try to board their plane, however, Russian officials refuse to let Marya, a famous ballerina, to leave the country. Phillip is forced to leave without her. In London Philip is told by British officials that it is unlikely he will be able to reunite with his wife. But Philip is not to be refused and plans a way to get back into Russia in order to rescue her. His plan is fraught with terror, however, and he must rely on friends and a small schooner to take him into the Gulf of Finland.
