John shares our take on the first half of May which includes the proposal by The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to scale back its quality measures for fiscal year 2019 and the current administration’s “blueprint” to tackle soaring prescription drug prices. CMS is looking to reduce the number of quality measures across the five quality and value-based purchasing programs for its FY 2019 Medicare Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) and Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTCH) Prospective Payment System. President Trump announced his much anticipated proposal to control prescription drug pricing.
