Paul Thomas Anderson is a director that Jonathan (@berkreviews) needs to explore more of and thus a theme was born. To start the month off, Jonathan and Corey (@coreyrstarr) picked Inherent Vice from 2014 starring Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, Katherine Waterston, and Joanna Newsom. Corey had seen this one before, but it was the first viewing for Jonathan. Their interpretations of the film are quite different, too. Next episode: Boogie Nights (1997) Continuing the exploration of PTA, Corey selected Boogie Nights (1997) starring Mark Wahlberg, Julianne Moore, Burt Reynolds, Don Cheadle, and John C. Reilly. Jonathan actually saw this when he was in high school, but definitely hasn't watched it with a critical eye.
