Robert Ferguson, aka Rob Skate is the founder of the Robskate Academy based out of Oakland, CA. His communal work both in and outside of the skate park has catapulted him into international notoriety over the years, leading him to developing skate workshops for cities across the globe. He dropped by the studio to chat with Anson and Chris about the changing landscape of skateboarding, and how a few pop-culture icons have brought the sport to new audiences around the world. They got into mindfulness in skateboarding, and the importance of sharpening the mental aspect as well as the technical skills. The summer olympics are around the corner, and skateboarding is going to leave its stamp on the event for the first time, so the guys were stoked to chat with someone who will represent the Stars and Stripes in Japan as a coach for one of his immensely talented young pupils.
