For JD McElroy, dance was his identity. As a Korean kid, adopted by Irish-American parents from Boulder, Colorado, JD struggled with fitting in. Being bullied and getting into fights, it was tough to feel like he belonged. It wasn't until he discovered dance that he found a new place to call home. It was where he could be cool, accepted, and most importantly, himself.
