Jack is nervous as he is getting ready for his first show of the 1946-1947 season. Things come to a head when Mary advises Jack that both Dennis Day and Phil Harris have their own shows. Along the way we learn how Jack first got linked up with the Sportsmen's Quartet in a segment that is hilarious. Also a funny bit with Mabel and Gertrude, the NBC telephone operators.
