There are ways to do this which are less intrusive and also more open and honest with your viewership. If you want to avoid ads all together crowd funding is a great way to break away from the corporate sponsorship. This will allow you to keep creative integrity while being supported directly from your community. Plus it's not forced on anyone, everyone has the choice to support you directly or to not.
