Sinopsis

Fascinated by sound from an early age, Rob Lord was soon experimenting with synthesizers and honed his craft as a musician, composer and multi instrumentalist by touring with lots of bands. As Audio Director for Perfect Entertainment he scored for many video games and then as a freelancer worked for the likes of Marvel and Disney. Composing for advertising and short films led him to collaborate with UK directing duo Bert and Bertie, a very successful working relationship which has led to their most recent project, Amazon Studio's 'Troop Zero' - starring Viola Davis and written by 'Beasts of The Southern Wild writer Lucy Alibar - to be submitted for an Emmy nomination and for the soundtrack to also be up for Grammy consideration. On the day that we hear of the sad passing of 'the maestro' Ennio Morricone, you can hear Rob's first score for Bert & Bertie's film 'The Worm' pay homage to the legend - and Rob proves to be a mean whistler too! This is the Soho Radio podcast, showcasing some of the best broadcasts
