Yes, there are some of us who had a great childhood and have always had a fairly healthy self-image. But maybe you’re one whose family or childhood friends (or enemies!) said and did things that made you doubt your worth. Maybe you have a bad self-image. That can make it much harder to get close to God. But when you become a Christian, the life of God comes to live inside you (see Rom. 8:10). Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s masterpiece.
