A 95-year-old woman has been arrested after slapping her 46-year-old granddaughter in the face with a slipper during a fight over the air conditioning!Hattie Reynold called the cops to complain about her granddaughter, Janeen Williams, running up the electric bill for the A/C. “I got a gran in my bed and I can’t …get her out from my bed,” Reynolds said. “I ain’t got nothing to pay bill on air condition all the time for her to go into the room.”Sometime during the call, Williams could be heard “screaming and swearing” at Reynolds, which prompted the 95-year-old woman to react with violence.“(Hattie Reynolds) then began to start yelling and smacked (Janeen Williams) in the face with the shoes she had on,” the police report obtained by the News-Journal read.Although Williams didn’t want to give a statement or press charges against her grandmother, officers arrested Reynolds and held her overnight. She was then released on her own recognizance, the publication reports.
