PEG Interviews Pop/PostPunk Duo Psychopets BIO: The Psychopets is a Swedish/French alternative pop/postpunk duo based in Gothenburg, Sweden.  The duo consists of Anna and Julien who have completely different backgrounds geographically, but have their heart in the same music genre. They both grew up with the glittery 80-ies sound, but also with the smearing distorted electric guitar sound from the grunge era of the 90-ies. The mix of these two worlds become a genre-bending that’s melodic, raw, heavy and groovy, with elements of synth and electro. They both share an intense interest in human behavior, psychological and societal issues, the side effects of postmodernism increasing polarization and everything that shapes the mad society we live in today. This topic is recurring in their lyrics, but always with a lot of humour and a good dose of irony.
