You and I have seen a lot of bad reporting. Media outlets reporting news that do not follow ethical practices. Stories that are designed to do damage. News to sway listeners to their political agenda. Ethics in reporting or telling a story is no longer ethical. The Society of Journalists have their code of ethics published on their website.
