Initially becoming the apprentice to Galius the Court Physician, he saves Arthur from a murder plot by a witch and becomes Arthur’s man-servant.In this first episode we already build strong mentor/student relationships between Galius and Merlin, we also see the brother relationship building between Arthur and merlin.
