She started her professional career at GE in their financial management and audit teams. She moved on to the financial services industry with a series of roles at Goldman Sachs. From there, Diedra joined a well known start-up, SoulCycle, as the Head of Finance taking the company from seven to 75 locations. She then moved to the start-up GlamSquad as CFO for a time, before taking the CFO role with a shared-office/social club start-up called The Wing.  Ms Katus Nelson has had many accolades in her career, including:  Fortune 40 under 40 in 2019, Nominated for Fortune's Most Powerful Women Next Generation 2016 and 2017, and most recently added to the the Boardiq Black top 100 - first ever curated list of African Americans with storied successes.
