Nadya Merdon and Mira Rizk are Seniors at Bishop O’Connell High School and on the committee for the annual Superdance. They joined us to chat about this year's event. Superdance is a fundraising 12-hour dance-a-thon sponsored by students at Bishop O’Connell HS of Arlington, Virginia. The iconic event is dedicated to raising funds for research and treatments for Cystic Fibrosis. Since its creation, Bishop O'Connell Superdance has raised more than $4,000,000 to help find a cure for CF. Superdance is a valued tradition amongst the O’Connell community, created in the hopes to find a cure for cystic fibrosis and in remembrance of several members of the O’Donnell family who died from the disease.
