A graduate from Columbia University she signed with RCA and Interscope Records and honed her craft as a songwriter with some of LA’s top songsmiths. In 2015, she represented Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest; and in 2016, she founded Nvak Foundation, which was named one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies” in 2020. Her non-profit provides hyper-local, world-class music education and resources to female and non-binary musicians living in underserved communities globally. We also talk about her most recent music venture, Nvak Collective, a female and non-binary focused talent incubator and record label that super serves musicians from emerging markets like the Middle East, North & East Africa, and Eastern Europe.
