We seek love and acknowledgement from external sources as a way to heal our inner wounds of rejection and abandonment. It’s a reflection of our core, original wound: separation. When we can learn that God (universe/source) has always and will always accepted and loved us then we can begin to accept ourselves which then opens the opportunity for others to accept us.
