Prices are up 5% in the past year - the largest increase since 2008. That is not good because each of you are now paying higher taxes, when prices go up - so does the sales and use tax you pay on goods. So does the gas tax to transport that tomato to the store. If you got a raise this year your raise has just been eaten up by inflation of 5% and higher taxes on consumer goods. Do you think it will get worse? Yep, sure enough it will get worse.
