In 1983, a holiday movie was released that was only a modertate success at the time. However, that film has gone on to become one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time. In fact, so many people enjoy this film that is has become an annual tradition for it to be played for 24 hours straight on certain cable channels from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day.
