    Mike and Shell DiBaggio are a Husband and Wife writer and illustrator team. Together they have created the Ascension Epoch a shared universe of adventure fiction. It is built on both original elements and public domain sources.  Some of the elements of their fiction are about how a voluntary and decentralized world would operate. Sometimes its easier to accept an idea after we see it play out in a fictional world. The two books we focus on are "House of Refuge" an award winning book the takes place around a Seastead and a private lifesaving service; and "Salmander Six" a private fire fighting service.
