The initial books and comics come from fan-favorite authors such as Claudia Gray, Justina Ireland, Daniel José Older, Cavan Scott, and Charles Soul.  These stories are set 200 years before the Skywalker Saga, when the Jedi Order and Galactic Republic are at their peak.
